Argentina won its first archery gold medals at the South American Youth Games in Panama. Gabriel Joaquin Tonina defeated Brazil’s Lucas Wudson Oliveira Silva 6-0 in the recurve men’s final and also won mixed-team gold alongside Isabella Amanda Chorvat.

The Argentine delegation finished with six medals, including two golds. Brazil’s Luiza Rodrigues Langon defeated Chorvat 6-2 for the recurve women’s title. In compound competition, Ecuador’s Dariana Isabel Heredia Sanchez won the women’s final 143-138 against Belen Gimenez Maria, while Colombia’s Juan Felipe Gonzalez Correa beat Jeronimo Agudelo Bedoya 144-139 in the men’s final.

The archery programme ran from 15 to 18 April. Colombia led with four golds and 11 medals overall, while Brazil collected three golds among four medals. The results document both Argentina’s first titles and the wider distribution of youth archery success across the region.
