Payal Nag builds international para archery pathway
The Indian teenager followed a first overseas appearance with a national individual bronze.
Source publication date:
World Archery profiled 18-year-old Indian para archer Payal Nag as she developed her domestic and international career. Her first international appearance came at the Asian Youth Para Games in Dubai in December 2025, where she competed without winning a medal.
At India’s 2026 national para championships, Nag placed second in qualification behind Sheetal Devi and subsequently won individual bronze. Those results gave the profile a current domestic competitive milestone after the overseas debut.
Nag trained at the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Sports Complex, where Devi also developed her archery. The report described adapted training and a growing competition programme. The December Games appearance is retained as background; the archive date follows the feature’s 28 February publication.
