Australia secured an Under-19 World Cup semi-final berth by beating West Indies by 22 runs at Harare Sports Club. Captain Oliver Peake scored 109, reaching his century with a six from the first ball of the final over.
Australia finished on 314 for seven after Nitesh Samuel’s 56 and Alex Lee Young’s 45 supported the captain. West Indies responded strongly, with Zachary Carter making a rapid 64 and Joshua Dorne contributing 62.
The Caribbean side needed 83 from the final ten overs with seven wickets available, but the loss of both set batters changed the chase. Late wickets, including two in successive deliveries from Aryan Sharma, helped Australia keep its unbeaten record intact.
