Perathoner finishes Para snowboard season with double win
The Italian completed an unbeaten lower limb two banked slalom campaign in Steamboat.
Source publication date:
Emanuel Perathoner won both lower limb two banked slalom races at the Para Snowboard World Cup finale in Steamboat. The Italian completed six wins from six starts in that discipline and nine victories from ten races across the season.
Perathoner defeated Joe Pleban in Monday’s final and Fabrice von Gruenigen in Tuesday’s decider. His only defeat during the wider campaign had come at Big White, where von Gruenigen won the opening snowboard cross race.
Lisa Bunschoten-Vos returned from injury to win both women’s lower limb finals ahead of Kate Delson. Delson had already secured the series titles, but the Dutch rider’s successful return added two completed race victories before the athletes turned towards the March Paralympic Games.
