Perlmutter wins Calgary junior snowboard rail gold
A score of 44.13 gave the American her third podium of the championships.

Jessica Perlmutter won the women’s snowboard rail event at the Park and Pipe Junior World Championships in Calgary. The sixteen-year-old American scored 44.13 points, finishing seven clear of the Netherlands’ Katja Dutu, with Germany’s Marie Kuhlmann third on 36.63.
Perlmutter had already earned bronze medals in big air and slopestyle earlier in the week. Her rail victory followed an Olympic debut in which she finished sixth in slopestyle, as well as a first World Cup season that included seventh place in Aspen.
Dutu collected her fourth career rail podium after previous European Cup success. Kuhlmann’s bronze followed fourth place in junior big air. Competition at WinSport Canada Olympic Park continued with the separate men’s rail event on the final day.
