Jennifer Brady, Desirae Krawczyk, Madison Keys and Jessica Pegula explained how their group chat became the Player’s Box podcast. In WTA interviews, the players described a rapid launch during the previous US Open and a weekly format built around informal conversations rather than studio interviews.
The programme had reached ten thousand YouTube subscribers and nearly thirty thousand Instagram followers after more than twenty-seven episodes. Recording across homes, hotels and tournament spaces required coordination when the hosts were competing in different time zones.
Regular segments include fan questions and humorous accounts of personal mistakes. The hosts work with a production team but choose much of the content themselves, using their different personalities to share details of life on the professional tour.
