The fourth Americas Beach Sprint Rowing Championship ran at Punta Leona, Garabito, from 13 to 17 May. Organised by Costa Rica’s rowing federation under COPARE, it assembled 61 crews from 13 delegations across men’s and women’s solos and mixed doubles, including junior events.

World Rowing’s account reported a 60% participation increase compared with 2023. Racing began with time trials on 15 May, followed by knockout rounds and selected junior finals on 16 May and the remaining finals on 17 May. The technical team assessed Playa Mantas and monitored conditions throughout competition.

Swimmers’ competency checks, safety boats and on-site medical staff formed part of delivery. Augusto Farfan and Marisol Alvarado were among the officials overseeing the event.
