Remans and Kitayama win junior snowboard big air titles
The Belgian scored 164.50 points, while Japan’s teenager prevailed by 0.75.

Sky Remans won women’s snowboard big air at the Park and Pipe Junior World Championships in Calgary. The fifteen-year-old Belgian combined scores of 80.50 and 84 for a total of 164.50, defeating Japan’s Imari Kato on 155.75 and American Jessica Perlmutter on 155.
Hakuto Kitayama won the men’s twenty-person final with 175.25 points, earning the Japanese fifteen-year-old his first career victory. Ukraine’s Dmytro Luchkin finished only 0.75 points behind, and Sweden’s Mille Kahrstrom took bronze with 172.25 at WinSport Canada Olympic Park.
Kitayama was the only rider to score above ninety on an individual attempt, receiving 91 for his second jump. Perlmutter and Luchkin both added big air medals to podium results from the earlier slopestyle competition.
