Declan Rice scored twice on his return from injury as Arsenal beat Bournemouth 3-2 at Vitality Stadium. The midfielder had missed the previous league match but helped extend Arsenal’s lead at the top to six points.

Evanilson punished Gabriel’s misplaced pass to give Bournemouth an early lead. Gabriel equalised in the 16th minute before Rice struck twice after the interval, finishing moves involving Martin Odegaard and substitute Bukayo Saka.

Junior Kroupi’s powerful 76th-minute goal brought Bournemouth back within one, but Arsenal held on. The hosts’ league winless sequence reached 11 matches, leaving them in 15th place as Arsenal prepared for their next fixture against Liverpool.
