Romania wins promotion after final day victory over Croatia
The women's Division III A title followed a 5–2 win, with Thailand taking silver and Türkiye bronze.

Romania defeated host Croatia 5–2 on the final day in Zagreb to win the women's Division III Group A world championship. The victory secured promotion to Division II Group B for 2027, a substantial improvement from Romania's fourth place finish the previous year.
Early goals from Orsolya Feher, Anna Vitos and Ana Voicu established a three goal first period lead. Croatia later reduced the deficit to two, but Maissa Simina's late power play goal sealed Romania's title, while goalkeeper Nadina Niciu made 39 saves.
Romania finished with eleven points, one ahead of Thailand, which earned a second successive silver medal. Türkiye took bronze. Thailand's Ratana Kajonsaksumet led tournament scoring with twelve points, and Niciu received the best goalkeeper award.
