Rybakina wins first WTA Star of the Swing vote

Elena Rybakina won the first WTA Star of the Swing fan vote, receiving sixty-one percent of ballots cast for the Australian segment of the season. The award recognises performances across a tournament swing and will return after each regional phase during the year.
Iva Jovic finished second in the voting after her strong opening month, while Elina Svitolina placed third. The nominees also included Aryna Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula, Mirra Andreeva, Victoria Mboko, Belinda Bencic and the Australian Open women’s doubles champions.
Rybakina’s January record was nine wins and one defeat, culminating in her second Grand Slam title. The next award cycle would cover the Middle East tournaments, concluding after Dubai before the tour moved toward its Sunshine Swing events.
