Shangluo selected for AVC beach volleyball continental championships
The Chinese city will stage the September competition for teams from Asia and Oceania.

The 2026 AVC Beach Volleyball Continental Championships were announced for Shangluo, China, from 2 to 6 September. The Asian Volleyball Confederation will organise the tournament with Volleyball World, bringing national teams from Asia and Oceania to Shaanxi province.
The championships form one of the confederation's principal beach volleyball competitions and sit within the international calendar leading towards Los Angeles 2028. The event offers continental competition opportunities alongside the broader sequence of regional and global tournaments.
FIVB's announcement placed the hosting decision within recent growth across the region. It reported that forty-eight national federations participated in twenty-nine AVC and FIVB beach volleyball events during 2025, illustrating the range of competitive pathways available to participating national programmes.
