Silva wins first circuit title at Kenya’s debut CUPRA FIP Tour event
Adrián Naranjo and Pablo Sanchez won a men’s final decided in a third-set tiebreak.
Source publication date:
Alexandra Silva and Mafalda Fernandes won the women’s title at Kenya’s first CUPRA FIP Tour event in Nairobi. Top seeds Camille Sireix and Melissa Martin retired from the final with Fernandes and Silva leading 6–2, 5–1 in the FIP Bronze championship match.
The victory gave Silva her first career title on the circuit. Fernandes returned to championship success after three and a half years, with her previous tour victory coming at FIP Platinum Mexico City in October 2022. The partnership therefore reached different personal milestones at the Kenyan stop.
Fourth seeds Adrián Naranjo and Pablo Sanchez won men’s doubles by beating Victor Tur Checa and Agustín Reca 6–7, 6–4, 7–6. It was their second title of 2026 after FIP Bronze Singapore earlier in March, adding another victory during the tour’s international expansion.
