Julia Simon won the women’s 12.5km mass start in Nove Mesto na Morave in 33:39.4. A final uphill acceleration broke a close contest with Oceane Michelon and Lisa Vittozzi, delivering Simon’s first victory of the season.

Michelon finished second, 0.5 seconds behind, equalling her career-best placing. Vittozzi was third at 2.7 seconds, while Lou Jeanmonnot took fourth. All four recorded one shooting penalty, with the result decided by their closing-loop speed.

Camille Bened hit every target and finished fifth, giving France four of the first five positions. Jeanmonnot increased her overall World Cup advantage to 202 points over Suvi Minkkinen. Simon’s victory was her fifth career World Cup mass start win before the Olympic break.
