The EHF announced the men’s European Championship All-star selection before the final in Herning. Players from six national teams were recognised through a process combining supporter votes, expert-panel input and confirmation by the European Handball Federation.
The selection covered all seven playing positions, alongside the best defender, best young player and Most Valuable Player distinctions. Almost twelve thousand votes were cast through the Home of Handball app, adding a direct supporter contribution to the awards process.
Mathias Gidsel became the first Danish player named the tournament’s MVP. Germany goalkeeper Andreas Wolff earned another All-star appearance after selections in 2016 and 2024. Both finalists were represented, but the awards also acknowledged performances from teams outside the championship match.
