The first women's EHF Youth Club Trophy brought sixteen under-17 teams into a new European club competition. EHF's March preview outlined four qualification tournaments whose winners would advance to the final event alongside the senior women's FINAL4 in Budapest on 6–7 June.

Thirteen entrants came from clubs competing in the Champions League, two represented the European League and Kepez BSK qualified as Türkiye's national champion for players born in 2009. Porec, Zagreb, Bistrita and Ankara were selected to host the qualifying events.

The opening tournament paired Buducnost with Hypo Niederösterreich and Györ with Podravka. All matches were scheduled for live coverage on EHFTV, with additional national and regional broadcasters carrying some games as the competition expanded from its men's debut in 2025.
