South Melbourne hit five against Solomon Kings

South Melbourne defeated Solomon Kings 5-0 at the Home of the Matildas to complete their stay in Australia. The postponed Round One fixture left the club unbeaten after eight Pro League matches and one point behind leaders Auckland.
Yuki Uchida headed the opening goal in the first half after Solomon Kings goalkeeper Phillip Mango had made several saves. Max Mikkola added the second soon after the restart, while Mango was dismissed following a VAR review of his confrontation with Jordan Swibel.
South Melbourne made their numerical advantage count through further goals from Jordon Lampard and Nahuel Bonada. Arran Cocks completed the scoring in stoppage time, leaving the Kings to prepare for another meeting with the same opponents in Honiara.
