Sporting recovered from a five-goal half-time deficit to beat Aalborg in the Champions League Match of the Week. The Costa brothers drove the comeback before Diogo Branquinho scored twice during the decisive closing period in Lisbon.

Magdeburg preserved their unbeaten record at Wisła Płock, but dropped their first point of the season. Gisli Kristjánsson scored the German side’s final three goals, including the equaliser with fifteen seconds remaining after Płock had led by six.

Elsewhere, Kielce handed Füchse Berlin their first home defeat of the campaign through a late Szymon Sićko winner. Barcelona defeated Zagreb, while Paris Saint-Germain secured a play-off place with a narrow home victory over Szeged.
