Steen and Larsen win junior freeski slopestyle finals
The American scored 89.50, while the Norwegian recovered from a heavy opening crash.

Lainey Steen won the women’s freeski slopestyle title at the Park and Pipe Junior World Championships in Calgary with 89.50 points. The fourteen-year-old American overtook Canada’s Hunter Belle Hall on 82.75, while thirteen-year-old Australian Maya Broadbent took bronze with 77.75.
Steen’s second run combined a clean rail section with three successful jumps to secure her eighth consecutive podium of the year. Indra Brown finished fourth and top qualifier Avery Krumme eighth in the final at WinSport Canada Olympic Park.
Jonas Larsen won the men’s title with 84.75 points after crashing heavily on his opening attempt. The seventeen-year-old Norwegian rose from fifteenth for his first international victory, defeating Lucas Ball on 82.75 and Kalle Palkinen on 80.75.
