Andres Temiño Mediel won his first senior Indoor World Series gold at the Nimes Archery Tournament. Spain’s reigning outdoor recurve world champion defeated Chinese Taipei’s Wei Chun-Heng in a shoot-off after an exceptionally accurate final at Le Parnasse.
Both finalists averaged 9.94 points per arrow across their sixteen shots. Temiño Mediel’s decisive arrow landed closer to the centre, earning him one thousand ranking points on his first appearance of the season and his final planned indoor outing.
Victoria Sebastian defeated Angela Ruiz seven set points to three in the women’s final, adding Nimes gold to her Taipei victory. French teammate Lisa Barbelin recovered from a four-one deficit to beat top seed Marie Horackova in the bronze-medal match.
