Thredbo becomes official ski resort of Paralympics Australia
The partnership includes mountain activities and athlete engagement supporting adaptive snow sport.
Source publication date:
Thredbo Resort was appointed the official ski resort of Paralympics Australia in a new partnership announced before the Winter Paralympics. The organisations said the collaboration would support participation, athlete pathways and performance alongside the resort’s established adaptive snow sport work.
The agreement builds on Thredbo’s connection with Disabled Wintersport Australia and its adaptive programme. Paralympics Australia chief executive Cameron Murray said the formal relationship would extend support for Para athletes at different stages of winter sport development.
Planned activities included mountain-based events and athlete engagement for resort guests. Thredbo also highlighted its existing ambassador relationships with Michael Milton and Ben Tudhope. The partnership announcement connected those athlete links with broader efforts to improve access and opportunities for Australians with disability.
