Tomblin and Thorpe lead British golds in Medellín
European artistic swimmers collected multiple titles at South America’s first World Cup stage.

Ranjuo Tomblin won men’s solo technical gold at the opening Artistic Swimming World Cup in Medellín, then joined Izzy Thorpe to win mixed duet technical with 202.9517 points. The event was the first World Cup stage in the discipline hosted in South America.
Germany’s Klara Bleyer earned gold, silver and bronze across her programme. She and Amelie Blumenthal Haz won women’s duet technical with 275.2792 points, ahead of the Slovak and French pairs, while Bleyer placed second in solo free and third in solo technical.
Switzerland’s Anna-Sophia Aeschbacher and Ixchel Honer won women’s duet free ahead of Spain. Tomblin and Thorpe debuted a Latin dance routine, describing their early-season performance as promising while acknowledging elements to improve at subsequent stages.
