Source publication date:
U.S. Soccer announced the sixteen pairings for the second round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Matches were scheduled for March 31 and April 1, bringing the first-round survivors together before Major League Soccer clubs enter the competition.
Teams were paired geographically, with random selection used for additional pairings and home advantage. Asheville City were drawn against One Knoxville, while Flint City Bucks would face Detroit City in an all-Michigan encounter. Orange County would host Phoenix Rising.
Every second-round match would stream on Paramount+, with selected games also allocated to CBS Sports Network and CBS Sports Golazo Network. The federation noted that the postponed Pittsburgh Riverhounds–Steel City first-round tie still needed to determine one participant.
