Play Rugby USA and Memphis win Urban Rugby championships
Dallas hosted the fifth edition, with separate boys’ and girls’ Cup winners.
Source publication date:
Play Rugby USA won the boys’ Cup and Memphis Inner City Rugby won the girls’ Cup at the fifth Urban Rugby Championships in Dallas on 21 March. Faith Family Academy hosted the competition, which connects youth programmes serving under-resourced communities.
Play Rugby USA and Eagles Rugby advanced from the boys’ semi-finals before the former secured the title. Amir Haynes received the boys’ Player of the Tournament award. Memphis and Eagles reached the girls’ final, with Memphis winning and Antrice Jamison taking the girls’ individual honour.
The official account, published on 1 April, confirmed the champions and award recipients without listing final scores. This report retains that limitation and keeps the March competition date separate from the April source date. It records the two Cup outcomes together as one underlying championship development rather than counting each award or division as a separate addition.
