USA Archery opened Women’s History Month with a feature on women’s contributions to long-term development. It traced a line from Denise Parker’s Olympic appearance at fourteen in 1988 to athletes and volunteers shaping present-day competition and community programmes.

Casey Kaufhold’s preparation on her Pennsylvania home range combines data analysis, mental performance work, strength training and international experience. Compound archer Paige Pearce illustrates sustained elite competition across seasons, providing another visible example for younger athletes entering the sport.

The feature also examines women’s roles in JOAD mentoring, coach certification, board service and foundation work. It identifies equipment grants, coach education, athlete protection and collegiate pathways as areas requiring continued investment, while former competitors bring their experience into coaching, officiating, club leadership and event organisation.
