Vallefoglia capture their first trophy with Challenge Cup triumph
Megabox beat Panathinaikos twice as Erblira Bici led the final's scoring.

Megabox Vallefoglia won the women's CEV Challenge Cup to secure the first trophy in the club's history. The Italian team defeated Panathinaikos Athens in both legs of the final, extending Italy's run to five consecutive winners of the competition.
The opening match in Pesaro ended 3–2 to Megabox. Albanian opposite Erblira Bici scored thirty-two points, while Gaia Giovannini earned that game's most valuable player award. Vallefoglia then won the return in Athens in straight sets.
Bici supplied another twenty-two points and took the individual award in the second leg. Megabox's campaign had begun with a golden-set escape against AEK Athens before successive two-match victories over Fatum Nyiregyhaza, Gran Canaria and Kaposvar carried them to the final.
