Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt won the men’s doubles European title in Oberhof, also recording their fifty-ninth World Cup victory. The German pair finished 0.254 seconds ahead of Toni Eggert and Florian Mueller over two runs.

The six-time Olympic champions were especially strong in the second heat, coming within one thousandth of their start record. Juri Gatt and Riccardo Schoepf finished third for Austria, 0.389 seconds behind, while Hannes Orlamuender and Paul Gubitz missed the podium by three thousandths.

Wendl and Arlt continued their winning run after Winterberg and celebrated another European success at the same venue. Slovakia’s Christian Bosman and Bruno Mick won the under-23 European classification ahead of two Ukrainian pairs, completing the championship’s separate age-group ranking.
