Ireland closes in on qualification as USA keeps hopes alive
Bangladesh stays unbeaten while two World Cup places remain to be decided.

Ireland strengthened its Women’s T20 World Cup qualifying position by defeating the Netherlands by 98 runs. Leah Paul’s 39 helped Ireland reach 143 for nine. Orla Prendergast and Jane Maguire took three wickets each as the Dutch innings collapsed.
The United States kept its chances alive by beating Thailand by 28 runs. Pooja Ganesh contributed 35 from 25 balls to USA’s 128, and Tara Norris claimed three wickets as Thailand was dismissed for 100. USA’s final match against Scotland became decisive for its prospects.
Bangladesh remained unbeaten after posting 191 for five against Scotland, with Nigar Sultana Joty scoring an unbeaten 56. Bangladesh and the Netherlands had already qualified. Ireland, Scotland and USA were contesting the two remaining places ahead of the final Super Six fixtures.
