Nepal and Papua New Guinea claim first qualifier wins
Bangladesh finishes its group unbeaten while Scotland moves ahead of Thailand.

Nepal and Papua New Guinea recorded their first victories at the Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier. Nepal chased Zimbabwe’s 129 for six with three balls remaining, winning by six wickets. Puja Mahato stayed unbeaten, while captain Indu Barma added a useful 22.
Papua New Guinea beat Namibia by three wickets with two balls left after a 58-run opening partnership. Hollan Doriga contributed 39 from 25 deliveries. Scotland defeated Thailand by five wickets, helped by Sarah Bryce’s unbeaten 52 and a 67-run partnership with Katherine Fraser.
Bangladesh completed four wins from four group matches by overcoming Ireland by nine runs. Sharmin Akhter scored 52 and Sobhana Mostary added 30 from 16 balls in 153 for seven. Ireland captain Gaby Lewis made 73 in the unsuccessful pursuit.
