Netherlands and Bangladesh book women’s T20 World Cup places
The Dutch earn their first appearance in the tournament as Scotland defeats Ireland.

The Netherlands qualified for the Women’s T20 World Cup for the first time after defeating the United States by 21 runs under the DLS method. Phebe Molkenboer made an unbeaten 46, with the Dutch on 90 for two when rain ended play.
Bangladesh also secured qualification, beating Thailand by 39 runs to extend its winning streak to five. Sobhana Mostary scored 59 and Juairiya Ferdous made 56, sharing a third-wicket partnership of 110. Bangladesh posted 165 for eight and held Thailand to 126 for eight.
Scotland strengthened its prospects by defeating Ireland by 39 runs. Sarah Bryce contributed 47 to Scotland’s 160 for five before Kathryn Bryce took four wickets for 21. Bangladesh and the Netherlands led the Super Six standings with eight points each.
