WTA chair Valerie Camillo announced a Tour Architecture Council to recommend changes to the tour’s calendar, player commitments and broader framework. The group’s initial task is to develop proposals for the WTA board that could take effect as early as the 2027 season.

Jessica Pegula will chair the council, bringing an active leading player’s perspective to discussions. Membership combines players, tournament representatives and senior WTA personnel, including Camillo and chief executive Portia Archer.

Camillo identified concerns about the physical and personal demands of the current calendar after consulting members during her first ninety days. The council will begin with areas under WTA authority while also identifying longer-term questions requiring cooperation elsewhere in tennis.
