WTA launches 2026 Finals race leaderboard
Rybakina led the first singles update while Danilina and Krunic headed the doubles standings.
Source publication date:
The WTA released the first official Finals race leaderboard of 2026, covering results from the opening tournaments and Australian Open. Elena Rybakina led singles following her Brisbane quarterfinal and Melbourne title, with Aryna Sabalenka second and Elina Svitolina third.
Anna Danilina and Aleksandra Krunic topped doubles with more than sixteen hundred points after two semifinals and an Australian Open runner-up finish. Teams must play at least two events together to appear, so Melbourne champions Elise Mertens and Zhang Shuai were not yet listed.
The race tracks qualification for the season-ending tournament in Riyadh. Further points were available at Abu Dhabi, Doha and Dubai as the calendar moved into the Middle East phase of the season.
