The United States won the Champion of Nations title at the IFAA World Field Archery Championships in Yankton, South Dakota. New Zealand finished second and Australia third after the event held from 26 July to 1 August.
Nearly 200 archers from 15 countries and five continents attended, including 93 representing the USA. Five competition days comprised two Field rounds, two Hunter rounds and one Animal round, each with 28 targets.
Variable distances, terrain and shooting angles required different skills from fixed-distance target archery. Heat, wind and storms added further challenges before the awards banquet concluded the championships at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center.
