Hong Kexin wins Asian Games women’s 57kg wrestling gold
China’s Hong Kexin rallied past DPR Korea’s Son Il Sim 7–2 in Nagoya to add the Asian Games title to her 2026 Asian crown.

China’s Hong Kexin defeated DPR Korea’s Son Il Sim 7–2 in the Asian Games women’s 57kg wrestling final at Nagoya Inae Sports Center. The Olympic Council of Asia reported that Hong trailed 2–1 early in the second period before scoring a takedown and two ankle rolls to complete the comeback.
The victory gave Hong the Asian Games title after her Asian Championships gold earlier in 2026. United World Wrestling’s official entries identify Hong and Son in the 57kg field, while its day-four coverage records Son’s earlier victory by fall over Akari Fujinami, the semifinal result that sent Son into the final.
Fujinami recovered to take one of the bronze medals, with Kazakhstan’s Nilufar Raimova earning the other. This report treats Hong’s completed final as a materially new consequence after iintroo’s earlier coverage of Fujinami’s semifinal defeat; it does not republish that earlier development as a separate fresh story.
