India beat Pakistan to retain Asian Games men’s cricket gold
India defended 211/6 to win the Nagoya final by 19 runs, with Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma leading the batting effort.

India defeated Pakistan by 19 runs in the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games men’s cricket final on 3 October, completing a second successive gold-medal campaign. India made 211/6 after captain Shreyas Iyer chose to bat, before restricting Pakistan to 192/6.
Abhishek Sharma scored 61 to set the innings’ tempo, while Tilak Varma finished unbeaten on 51 from 22 deliveries. Pakistan’s Hasan Nawaz replied with 96 from 51 balls, but wickets at the other end prevented the chase from reaching India’s total.
The result turns the previously confirmed final pairing into a completed championship outcome: India take gold and Pakistan silver. Sri Lanka won bronze earlier in the day by beating Bangladesh by 63 runs, so all three men’s cricket medals are now decided.
