The International Testing Agency said an in-competition sample collected from Indian kurash athlete Yash Kumar Chauhan on 27 September returned an adverse analytical finding. The reported substances were metabolites of metandienone and GW1516, together with mephentermine and its metabolite.

Chauhan has been provisionally suspended with immediate effect while results management continues under the World Anti-Doping Code and OCA Anti-Doping Rules. During the provisional suspension he cannot compete, train, coach or take part in Asian Games activities.

This is not a final anti-doping decision. The athlete may challenge the provisional suspension before the CAS Anti-Doping Division and request analysis of the B sample; no final violation, sanction or result disqualification should be inferred unless the process produces a further official decision.
