OCA and AINAGOC hold final-day Asian Games review
Asian Games leaders reviewed Aichi–Nagoya 2026 on closing day, thanking the hosts while addressing delivery and operational lessons.
The Olympic Council of Asia and the Aichi–Nagoya Asian Games Organising Committee held a final-day review at the Main Media Centre in Nagoya on 4 October. The official account identifies OCA Director General Husain Al Musallam, OCA Coordination Committee chair Tayyab Ikram, AINAGOC president Hideaki Ohmura, Nagoya mayor Ichihro Hirosawa and AINAGOC secretary general Satoshi Murate among the representatives.
The meeting assessed the delivery of the 20th Asian Games on the day of the closing ceremony. OCA and organising-committee officials thanked Japan's national and local authorities and the host cities, while placing the competition's sporting programme alongside the operational work required to stage the event.
Reuters independently reported the same press conference and noted that OCA leaders described the Games as successful while acknowledging logistical problems. This report records the completed final-day governance review as one development and does not present the closing ceremony or still-pending MVP awards as completed outcomes.
